Marina Triantafyllou
Marina, a native of Paros Island, Greece, is a multifaceted artist renowned for her work in Byzantine iconography, marble sculpting, pottery, and jewelry making.
From her early days crafting bracelets from beach-combed treasures, Marina’s talent blossomed, leading her to formal studies in Athens. She established a studio in Paros, where she has significantly contributed to icon restoration and church art.
After broadening her artistic repertoire in America, Marina returned to her roots, focusing on marble sculpting while continuing her diverse artistic endeavors. Marina’s passion for art also extends to teaching, and sharing her knowledge and skills during the summer and winter months.
Marina’s dedication to art is matched by her passion for teaching, having guided hundreds in marble sculpting and Byzantine iconography.

“choro” (χώρο) from “χώρος” meaning “space” or “place” and “chronos” (χρόνος) meaning “time.”

Chorochronos, situated in the heart of Lefkes, serves as our Studio and Gallery where Marina’s artistic creations are displayed for everyone to admire and purchase. This space marks our inaugural Workshop venue, offering both indoor and outdoor settings for various lessons.
Our second workshop location offers a raw, exclusively outdoor experience, nestled on the outskirts of Lefkes, perched along the gorge. It boasts breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea, the neighboring island of Naxos, and the quaint village church. From this vantage point, you’ll also enjoy a captivating worm-eye perspective of Lefkes Village, enhancing the grandeur of its scenic beauty.
